2023 Jeep Gladiator at San Marcos Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM

There are pickup trucks, and then there is the Jeep Gladiator. The Jeep Gladiator is now in its fourth model year, the Gladiator, and it acts and functions like a pickup version of the Jeep Wrangler. Two versions of the Gladiator are intended for everyday use on the streets, while the other versions, the Rubicon and the Mojave, are used for off-roading. The fantastic capability and versatility set the Gladiator apart from its competitors, as while there are other mid-size pickups that can go off the road, nothing compares to the off-raod capability of the Gladiator. It also combines its off-road capability with a couple of terrific engine options and some of the best tech and luxury features on the market. Want to know more about the 2023 Gladiator? The Raw Power of the Jeep Gladiator

Two excellent engines are available for the 2023 Jeep Gladiator, and they both bring you the raw power and capability you expect from Jeep. The base engine is a 3.6-liter V6 that generates a solid 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. It comes standard with a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic transmission, which will give you a smooth ride on and off the road. Every trim level has the option of a diesel-powered 3,0-liter V6 turbodiesel with 260 horsepower and 442 lb-ft of torque and pairs exclusively with the eight-speed automatic. It's always good to know that wherever you use your Gladiator for off-roading or being on the highway, you will always have the power you need.

What kinds of features can I get with the Gladiator?

Four trim levels are available for the Gladiator, and each one provides you with an exceptional amount of features that are perfect for when you are off-roading or just cruising the streets. The base trim is the Sport which comes standard with a 7-inch display screen, replacing last year's 5-inch screen. The Gladiator Sport also gets the Uconnect 4 infotainment system and standard Apple Car Play and Android Auto. You also get a new carbon air filter that will filter out 95 percent of all particles. Higher trims of the Gladiator come with an 8.4-inch screen and Uconnect 4C, which has navigation and a 9-speaker Alpine stereo. The Overland also comes with 18-inch alloy wheels, tinted glass, heated side mirrors, and side steps, while inside the cabin has keyless entry, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, dual-zone automatic climate control, 115-volt outlet, and ambient footwell lighting. If you plan on off-roading, there is the Rubicon trim which comes with all the latest off-road systems such as an electronically locking front differential, Fox suspension components, an electronically disconnecting sway bar, and another rear tow hook. The Mojave rounds things out with an electronically locking rear differential, extra Fox parts, and a desert-rated badge.

How safe is the Gladiator?

Your safety is one of Jeep's top priorities, so there are several available safety features that are sure to keep you and your loved ones safe no matter where you travel. For example, a Blind-Spot Monitoring system will let you know when another vehicle is traveling in your blind spot so you can make quicker lane changes. You also get Adaptive Cruise Control which will allow you to maintain a pre-set distance between the Gladiator and the vehicle in front of it. Forward Collision Mitigation will warn you of an impending collision with audio and visual cues and can even apply the brakes if you fail to do so. Other safety features you can get include rear parking sensors and a front-facing camera.
